with love...

My Valentines weekend consisted of driving, eating (what diet?), cuddling and more eating. Perfect. We went to Studland in Dorset and went for a lovely walk, then ate heart cupcakes afterwards in the warm car. Then we went shopping yesterday and I drove home this afternoon. Adam got me the most adorable card!
I bought a workout dvd and I think I'm going to die, it looks insane. Back to work for 3 days, then two days off- lovely :)
Sadly the mini isn't mine (yet), I took this picture while the owner was unlocking the door, bit awkward... me and Adam talked about a possible driving tour when I get mine, that would be amazing, I would rather get to know Britain better than go abroad just yet, bit cheaper too ;)

Happy Valentines little blog, with love,

 from me.

Green Tea

Leopard print nails and new mascara are the highlights of my week, apart from payday ;)

I'm looking forward to having a few days of lie-ins, drinking gallons of tea, taking more photographs and the next episode of Birdsong. Eddie Redmayne is divine, end of.

new beginnings

all pictures via my Instagram
01. Some of you might notice that my blog looks a little different- I've been playing around with backgrounds and html all morning and this is the result, a bit more 'me' than previously and I'm happy with it- also finally figured out how to make some pretty nifty headers via Picnik, and it's free, so even better!

02. Spent today trying to come up with some new blog content too, I might get into the habit of posting a 'picture of the week' or something creative like that, or a weekly portrait, or even a wardrobe raid- this might help me work out what lurks in my wardrobe and it also might be a good way to force me to wear some stuff more often. Anyway, I'm sure I'll figure something out!

03. A new year (almost), a new look for my blog- I'm quite excited, and it's made me look forward to blogging and showing my photography again- just finished my Pentax film up so I'll get that developed in the week. I'm also going to be getting back into drawing/creating stuff again, so that can also appear on here too :)

04. Pictures of food: I've been seeing these all over Tumblr, and I love them- I took one of my lunch today (curried carrot & lentil soup with homemade cheese scones if you were curious) and I've taken some too on my film cameras- might make a project of this, we'll see.

05. Now I've throughly covered my new blog look I'll leave you to have a browse. Thanks for looking :)

onwards & upwards

cat-sitting, stuffed squash, Picframe app results, emo-ing it up via Photobooth, film beauties.
After catching up on some blogs today (I would rather have snow in December than disgusting drizzle thank you very much), I started thinking about my own blog and how for a while, I haven't been entirely happy with it. It's not the whole concept of blogging which is making me unhappy, it's more that I feel that my own blog doesn't really reflect 'who I am' and I want to change this. So... I will be giving this little site a complete revamp, name and all. I have a few ideas and I'm excited to try these out and see where they take me, even if not a lot of people read or visit- for me that's not what blogging is about, I'm not obsessed with gathering a huge following and a million comments, (of course it's nice to know and see that people do look at/read what I ramble on about), but I started blogging as a platform to show the world what I like and what interests me.
Recently I feel that my blog has gone away from this, I want to show more of my photography attempts and my arty/creative side, maybe some more 'fashion' posts might appear, but we shall see. You might be thinking 'isn't that on here already?', well, maybe some of that is, but it's more of a personal opinion and feeling of mine, and I'll feel better making a new page layout/header and giving my blog an update a massive overhaul. If you do read it/have a peek once in a while (thank you!), stay tuned- I will return soon!
I feel a lot better after typing all that and I hope it makes sense and that I covered everything :)
Now, to google the mysterious workings of html!

Equilateral

I love my pentax

mint & blueberry meringues that turned out to be MASSIVE

all pictures (apart from 1-2) are from tumblr/google images
Some wonderful, lovely pictures for you. I've been going mad with my cameras today, so soon I can put some more of my own up. I can't find the original sources to the above as I download and store them for my own reference (sorry!), but if any are yours then please let me know :)

Lots of cooking went on today, even though I picked up a nasty stomach bug at work yesterday- seems to have been a 24hr thing though. Tomorrow I'm working from 5pm onwards (apparently until 10pm) as we have a large stock count to do, not getting paid either, just a day off in December which is apparently a massive deal- I'd honestly rather have the money but I suppose I get to have my birthday off next month- still, I think Lloyds are taking the piss, and also advantage of us...grumble.

Already seen some blog posts on this month's Glossybox, bit of a 'meh' one coming I think, unless some of the products turn out to be life changers...apparently they've promised us a very special box for Christmas, so maybe that will be a good one!
I'm also thinking of starting a Lookbook account, thinking about it though, it's just having the time! I really feel like a holiday- roll on New Year!

P.S. How cute are those pugs?? Mine will be like that one day haha!

Topshop Ambush

Ambush boots- Topshop.
Bought these the other day after my faithful New Look boots suddenly died, hopefully I can fix them, but I had my eye on these for a while. They are pretty pricey, but they are leather, so hopefully they might last for a bit. I love the double side zips and the soft nubuck leather. They fit like a dream! I've only worn them for an hour, but they seem very comfy despite the 2 inch heel. They also have a satisfying 'clomp'.

In other news, I'm working. And that's it. Apart from starting to stress about Christmas presents, I need to make a list and organise a day to trawl around the shops, hopefully before all the shopping crowds have the same idea. I think Christmas is the only time in my life when I detest shopping, I always see stuff I want myself, and I am so rubbish at thinking up 'original' presents for everyone...ughhh. So, yeah- that will be fun.
I also need to start looking for more heritage related stuff to get into, doing something with my degree and getting paid for it would be ideal, and also quitting where I work would be too. I do enjoy my job, but it's not what I want to do for the rest of my life, and certainly not something I would have had to go to University for in order to do. Anyway, I'm hoping the next year will bring some new, exciting experiences. Maybe I should put a bit more into this blog, it's not what I thought it was going to be, to be honest, and I think lack of commitment/effort on my part is largely to blame. Ho hum, it's now just having the motivation to crawl out of my little rut and do something!

Instagram

I love this app. Probably the best camera application around at the moment, I might have to look into printing some off. I wish digital cameras came with optional settings like this, so you could apply different filters to pictures. Maybe someone will bring this out one day. At least this improves the quality of iPhone photography considerably...
