All Hallows

Happy Halloween!! I love this time of year, been getting into it by carving a pumpkin I grew myself and making it into an evil witch, complete with ropey hair and hat! I was considering zombie-fying myself to show all the little trick or treaters how it's done, but I have to take my dad to the hospital later so it might be wise to give it a miss, or risk getting sectioned...

Got paid the other day (YESSS) so I bought myself some makeup I've had my eye on for a while, plus a Topshop sequin cross skirt (how appropriate for today) and a jumper from Dorothy Perkins.

VO5 MIRACLE CONCENTRATE ELIXIR, GARNIER BB CREAM, MUA EYESHADOWS IN SHADE 30 & 11, COLLECTION 2000 BIG FAKE MASCARA.

MUA SHADOWS IN 30 & 11. £1 EACH AT SUPERDRUG.

GARNIER BB CREAM IN LIGHT. £7.99 AT SUPERDRUG.

TOPSHOP SEQUIN CROSS SKIRT. £32.99. TOPSHOP.

AS ABOVE.

Sorry about the last two pictures, I'm considering getting a tripod. Surface heights and the light in my room just doesn't cut it. More on the makeup at a later date.

Mr Pumpkin, you are truely evil...
Have a great Halloween!

Glossybox (October)

Contains: 3 Demalogica products (face and lip care, plus carry case), Leighton Denny Expert Nail Varnish in Hanky Panky (haha!), Stila Smudge Stick in Moray, and 3 samples of Robert Piguet Perfumes. All for £10 per month plus £2.95 p&p.

Bit of a 'meh' box this month, but I guess they can't all be winners. The best product seems to be the full size Stila liner, but the nail varnish was a nice surprise- never thought I would wear orange/coral on my nails, but I really like it. The Dermalogica products were a nice touch, something that I can never afford to buy but always wanted to try out- not sure anti-ageing is really for me yet though...and to be honest I thought it was a bit cheeky putting multiple brand products in a box that is meant to introduce you to new, varied things but anyway, at least I have a new mini makeup travel bag now! Some of these products seemed to have a layer of dust on them too...but I will be sticking with Glossybox as I think they give you a great range of items to try and the full size stuff is very good. Thumbs up!

Mini Break

Holiday cottage, scallops, Wells (Hot Fuzz location), Longleat guinea pigs, Lacock village, cat, vintage shop, Lacock Abby gardens, cloisters (Harry Potter location), Avebury.

Just got back from a 9 hour shift with aching feet so a bit of blogging will cheer me up! Our small holiday was lovely and I can't wait to go away again, hopefully for a bit longer. Got my Glossybox today so I will be using stuff and then no doubt posting about it at some point. Also got my first dog walking assignment with the Cinnamon Trust tomorrow, so fingers crossed it all goes well. I think it's going to be a busy week...

Instagram

I love this app. Probably the best camera application around at the moment, I might have to look into printing some off. I wish digital cameras came with optional settings like this, so you could apply different filters to pictures. Maybe someone will bring this out one day. At least this improves the quality of iPhone photography considerably...
