Finale.

Last ever week at Uni and in my house. Tonight I'm starting to pack up my room, it's going to look very strange and unloved by Friday... I got my dissertation back- a high 2:1, not quite the first I was convinced I deserved, but I really can't complain with the end result- looks like I'll get a good 2:1 overall which is brilliant- going to pick up my actual degree results on Friday morning! Ahhh butterflies have kicked in already!
I have started a serious fitness/weight loss regime- no idea why I didn't start it sooner, I'm pleasantly surprised to discover that I'm enjoying it! We go power walking/jogging most mornings which makes me feel really refreshed for the day, and today I invested in some little weights to tone up my fatty arms. I am not sure what will happen when I get back home- we jog on the common here where loads of people do the same and don't give you a second glance, back at home it will be more difficult as I don't live near anywhere where lots of people exercise if that makes sense, it's all roads- not somewhere you can go for a quiet run. We'll have to see. I am determined to keep it up! In regards to weight loss, a dress size will do, I'm not one to go mad and resembling a stick wouldn't suit me- being a size 10 is actually physically impossible due to how I'm built and I would look ill. The real aim of all of this is to tone up and get fitter, if I lose weight in the process then great- it would be an added bonus!
We went into town today to pick up my weights and accidently went into Primark (looking for a new shower curtain) and found some chino shorts. Then we popped into H&M and I finally found the perfect camel cardigan (basics section), I am going to change the buttons for something a bit more 'vintage' looking.
In regards to my Mini- I can't sell her. It doesn't feel right. Some might say 'it's only a car'. Jog on, unless you've owned a mini then you won't understand, it really is a way of life- they attract so much positive attention, and are part of a huge social scene. I've been having a good think about what is the right thing to do... My plan is to get her fixed asap, get a decent job to fund this and the upkeep and then me and the boy are (hopefully, please god of cars hear me now etc) hitting the London to Brighton Run next year (google it). If all goes well it will be AMAZING. Cannot wait.
Apologies for the lack of any pictures in here, this is just a general update on how I'm feeling/what I'm thinking at the moment. I'm sure some pictures will appear soon, I would like to work out how to get a decent outfit post!

Anyway, if you're still reading this, thank you :) I will stop rambling and start to pack up my room/life into boxes. Wish me luck. my parents are going to despair at the amount of stuff I've gathered over 3 years. HA.

Quiet Houses

Room with a view...

Little raindrops

Sleek storm palette- £6.49, Superdrug.

Mixture of matte and shimmer shadows

Cath Kidston Iphone/Blackberry case.

Graduation ball dress- Topshop. Belt- Oxfam.

Rebecca- Daphne Du Maurier. Bag- ebay.

I have massive love for this satchel- £6! Despite the musty smell...
Hiii. So today is disgusting- constant rain and wind outside which put paid to my new fitness regime (jogging around the common with the boy), although I must admit I wasn't that sad... We'll start tomorrow instead. YAY. Not.
Above are some pictures I took quickly of some things that I have got over the past couple of weeks- mainly from ebay/highstreet. The Graduation ball was good- had to queue for nearly an hour to get in and we only got one decent picture of us (still trying to work out a way of acquiring it from the photographer's website without paying a tenner). I felt a little worse for wear the next day lets just say.
That Sleek palette is amazing, I suggest you try it, pretty good price too and it's nice to have a mixture of matte and shimmer shadows. I have also been re-reading Rebecca, a book that is very dear to me and now I have nothing to do I can finally enjoy reading something non-academic without feeling like I should be working. Talking of work, I've been considering where I want to go in life, while this decision may not be for the long-term, it is something I am very interested in and it would make a nice change from what I have been doing for the past 3 years. I'm thinking of applying to work on a makeup counter. Not sure if you have to have any specific qualifications though, so it's something I'm looking into.
For now though I'm watching some Pentax film cameras on ebay and enjoying some post-fitness food- last night of being a fatty (hopefully)!

(If anyone knows anything about mac's Back to Mac policy I'd be grateful for any info- do you give back the packaging the products are sent in or the actual product containers after you've used them up- google and the mac site are not helpful... and I'd quite like a free lippy)

Camera talk

I'm thinking of getting a film camera- not a more modern one like Urban Outfitters sell but an old 35mm one. After looking on ebay and google things are a little confusing, so if anyone has one of these cameras or knows about them, then any info would be appreciated :)

After looking on Kodak they only seem to sell professional film, whereas on the US site they sell regular film for about $3. I'm looking for the British equivalent... I'm a bit gutted as I saw two film cameras at my local recycling center awhile ago, but was talked out of it by my mother who thought the film would be too expensive. Maybe I should go and ask in a photography shop before taking the plunge, I assume you take the film to be developed? Hmm...this post demonstrates the lack of knowledge I have about cameras in general. Don't get me wrong I love my Fuji and won't be giving that up any time soon, I just like the look of film cameras and the grainy effect that they give- although I might experiment with some disposable cameras first. Let me know what you think!

mrkooshie.webs.com  I have a feeling this was one of the ones I found at the tip. Now going on ebay for big bucks. Damn.

Like I said, if anyone comes across this and knows anything/has useful advice please let me know, I'll be very grateful :)

Pink Lemonade

Just some pictures from when we went to Winchester the other day, it was so hot. I do not cope well in hot weather, I swear I actually start melting... Anyway, it was a lovely day out, we went to the church bookshop where practically everything is £1 and you can find allsorts, I got 5 original old penguin books for £5, I plan to put them on a shelf of my antique dresser in my new room at home. Haven't really done much else this week, there is only 3 and a half weeks until our house contract runs out, so I need to pack my life up into boxes and move home. I've already sent 6 bags of clothes off to charity shops and sold loads on ebay, sadly some of that money has already been spent- I found a lovely floral playsuit from Peacocks (the store in Southampton is pretty good) and a floral sleeveless top in Primark for £6- bargain compared to £18 in Topshop.

Our Graduation ball is on Wednesday, so I will try and get some pictures of the event plus my dress, which really deserves a post of it's own I love it that much. I now have to start thinking about looking for employment, moving back home and also hopefully moving house with my family next year which I am so excited about, cannot wait to get out of the horrible little town in which I live where everyone thinks that your business is theirs. Ughhh.

Anyway, my tattoo is nearly healed up, the itchy-ness lasted for about 3 days and is nearly gone! Soon I can wear boots again as my ballet pumps can't stand the rain... I'm also looking forward to the new X-Men film, I'm a massive fan of X-Men comics and the films, and James McAvoy is in the new one, bonus!
Hopefully packing my room up will burn off a few calories, I've put on quite a bit of weight since finishing and having nothing to do, I have seen some opinions about the 30 day shred dvd, maybe I'll have a go- it's either that or running...
