snow day

 Pictures taken on Dartmoor last Monday, there was so much snow compared to where my house is! I had great fun finding bird tracks, snapping icicles and getting some nice landscape shots (not mentioning falling down a steep snow slope ahem...).

I love film. Over 10 of these didn't develop properly today due to light leaks, so I'm hoping it's an error on my part and that my camera isn't on its last legs. Hoping the next roll of film is more successful, although some of the light leaked pics turned out pretty cool (personally I think it's down to my high level of skill HA. Not). The last picture is of the vicarage near my house, I'd buy it like a shot if I had the cash- it oozes gothic charm and has grave stones in the garden lawn (built on an old part of the churchyard), suitably creepy, imagine the halloween parties you could host...

My last day of being 21 tomorrow. I hate getting old, love the presents though!

Agfa Optima 1a

Picked this little 1970s film camera up on ebay last week, a real little gem. Doesn't require a battery, only a roll of film and good light. It's way more basic than my Pentax, but no less charming. The carry case is rather cute too- real German leather. I'm looking forward to getting this film developed, although I'm not sure that I have the correct film for the ASA/ISO settings...oh well, the unpredictable joys of film!

I worked for an hour today- didn't seem worth it at all, but it's double pay so not all bad. Going Christmas shopping tomorrow, and I'll be having a cheeky look in the new Urban Outfitters, just might have to buy something out of principle ;) I've also got a ton of MAC stuff coming in the post, they also sent me a free mascara which I'm looking forward to using. Might also have a peek at the Barry M Lip Paints tomorrow too, there's a particular nude shade I'm interested in- sorry bank balance.

Some wonderful, lovely pictures for you. I've been going mad with my cameras today, so soon I can put some more of my own up. I can't find the original sources to the above as I download and store them for my own reference (sorry!), but if any are yours then please let me know :)

Lots of cooking went on today, even though I picked up a nasty stomach bug at work yesterday- seems to have been a 24hr thing though. Tomorrow I'm working from 5pm onwards (apparently until 10pm) as we have a large stock count to do, not getting paid either, just a day off in December which is apparently a massive deal- I'd honestly rather have the money but I suppose I get to have my birthday off next month- still, I think Lloyds are taking the piss, and also advantage of us...grumble.

Already seen some blog posts on this month's Glossybox, bit of a 'meh' one coming I think, unless some of the products turn out to be life changers...apparently they've promised us a very special box for Christmas, so maybe that will be a good one!
I'm also thinking of starting a Lookbook account, thinking about it though, it's just having the time! I really feel like a holiday- roll on New Year!

I love this app. Probably the best camera application around at the moment, I might have to look into printing some off. I wish digital cameras came with optional settings like this, so you could apply different filters to pictures. Maybe someone will bring this out one day. At least this improves the quality of iPhone photography considerably...
