Sunday Post: The Grand Day Out

Today we went to a National Trust property in Cornwall, called Antony- where the recent Alice in Wonderland film was shot. It was a miserable day weather wise, but the house and grounds were stunning and if you're ever in the area then definitely make time for a visit! We walked down to the sea and skimmed some stones and collected some sea glass and huge pine cones. I managed to take over 50 photographs, but I'll post up a select few on here ;)

My shoes let me down big time, they let water in everywhere and I returned home with cold, wet feet, so tomorrow I'm going to drag my mum off to go boot shopping, I think it'll be tricky to find any this time of year though, although I have spied some lovely ones on the Topshop site, hopefully they'll have arrived in store!

Hope everyone has a nice long weekend, I have the Tuesday off too, so these extra lie-ins are greatly appreciated! Thank you Your Majesty for letting me have more sleep ;)

I have purchased some silver hair dye/toner, so if it works I will be a step closer to pastel hair!

On a Sunday V

Fresh marmalade, seedlings, catkins, salmon skinnies & asos silver cross, crossed thorns, catkins & flowers.

Kinda missed out on last Sunday's post, but today's objective was to get out in the sun and photograph some catkins. Mission accomplished! Also washed my make up brushes and made an effort to bake macaroons (epic fail there) that turned out to resemble pink squishy blobs.

I had a massive hair disaster on wednesday night, bleached my ends to get an ombre look and it went very very wrong, think coppery orange/yellow, not a good look. Cue a very panicky early phone call to the hairdressers in the morning and luckily I went after work (had no time for any lunch so grabbed a slice of bread that kept me going for four more hours), I am now a lovely blonde shade all over, quite a change but I'm really enjoying it and no more orange tones I am very glad to say :)

Also I have lost 10lbs overall, still a little way to go but I feel so much better, had to size down to buy the above jeans, I know I mention this weight loss in nearly every post, but I am proud of it and it's a very positive thing, if you don't like it then feel free to skip over it.

Last week I went to a National Trust property in Cornwall with my family, I took lots and lots and lots of pictures, so I will put some up later in the week.

Tonight I'm making soup and watching Crufts, haven't seen many pugs so far, but I'm rooting for the Newfoundland to win best in show, love them and their dribbly ways haha!

On a Sunday III

Cannot get enough of my fur (fake) stole/cozy thing- so warm and snuggly, my mum cuddles it in the car if I've worn it out...!

That time of the week again- my life is zooming by- oh well, payday soon!
Did some ladybird style nails yesterday, falling in love with my nail art pen again. Also started my workout regime today- OH GOD IT'S INSANE. I had to pause it twice due to feeling faint...oh well, hopefully it'll do something!

Getting my hair done as soon as my money comes through- going for a trim and an 'ombre' look, yup a little behind on that trend (as ever) but I fancy a change without dying the whole lot, if I hate it then the ends can be chopped off.

Also going to stock up on some more Liz Earle products since a little email arrived the other day informing me that the prices are going up on 1st of March, think the 29th Feb is the last day you can order with the cheaper prices. I'm going to order the Feb face kit which has free p&p, then I'll be sorted with skincare for a very long time :)
Going to have some tea now and think about what sort of soup to make this evening, also got to get around to putting some more stuff on ebay...money money money please!
