'Haul' Pictures

Not too keen on the word 'haul' as it implies that I bought lots of stuff, which for once, I didn't. Anyway here are some pictures of the items described in my last post, I couldn't be bothered to take off the horse print dress to photograph it seperately so sorry about the multiple mirror shots, but you'll get the general idea :)

Love this bag :D

Enjoy :)

Track of the week 4.

The Vaccines- Post Break Up Sex

Love this song at the moment, may have to check out some of their other stuff :)
Just realized that my dissertation is due the first tuesday back after the easter hols, so it looks like I'll have to cut short my holiday in order to finish, print and get it bound. Nightmare. And I'm still only on 3000 words. Ughhh. Lots of work to do. Including numerous other essays/projects. Got pretty good exam results though on the upside- two firsts and a 2:1 which I really can't complain about :D

Anyway, got to look for a present for the boy's birthday- no idea what to buy with a very limited budget- blame the rent. On the upside I got given some money as a present for passing exams etc so I went to Primark and went a bit crazy. Managed to get 2 hair scarves, a tiger face t-shirt with horrible fake stick on diamonds on that I managed to peel off- result! Also got a horse print dark blue dress with a lovely lace collar and a chiffon terracotta colour dress- which happened to be the last one in the shop haha. It's quite long for me- just above the knee, but at least I won't be flashing everyone and the colour is what does it for me- beaut. Got some ripped/lacey tights from good old M&S and a lovely brown leather frame bag from Topshop, pictures to come soon :)
Primark's jewellery was rubbish- usually they have some good stuff, I was looking for an owl ring but no luck, and I can't afford Accessorize, boo. I will keep searching.

Hair Scarf

Ok sorry to spam everyone with loads of self-pictures but I tried out tying a scarf in my hair and wanted to show the results on here- I think it went pretty well considering my hair is quite fine and things I do to it usually fall out in 5 minutes- thank god for hair pins and freeze-hold hair spray, plus it was a good opportunity to test out the effects of my mac's photobooth hahaha!

Sorry for the lack of posting recently, (if anyone actually reads this), got a bit of a tumblr obsession at the moment, easier to post up photo's and such, but I'm back on blogspot now so it's all good :)

By the way, if anyone knows how to get your own background for your blog (I would love a polka dot pattern) pleaseeeeee help! I have no idea how to do it!

today

Asda lemon cupcake, you have no idea how happy this makes me, especially after a long hike in the Wiltshire countryside. My foot has a huge blister on! :(

Anyway, I got a tumblr account, I find it easier to post pictures and share them on there than on here, but I prefer writing my thoughts on my blogspot, so that's how its going to be, although I'll still be putting up pictures on here. I'm not so sure about the whole reblogging thing on tumblr, when I do it I try to credit where possible, and always put a link to my page on my photographs. I think as long as you try your hardest to credit the photographer then its ok, and that goes for on here too.
I don't really have any new photos at the moment, except for some very sweet ones of my boyfriend looking all sleepy, but he'd kill me if they appeared on here hahaaa. When all or most of my work is done I will get out and snap some stuff. Going to town tomorrow to attempt to get some Valentine's presents for the boy, I have set a £10 limit for both of us...could be interesting, wonder if Primark does V.Day gifts..? JOKE! Anyway, I am shattered and need to make my foot better, plus I can feel an impending headache coming, nap time. Enjoy Valentines!

ethics

So ignore everything I said in my last post. Despite being someone who usually considers all aspects of everything, or tries to, I failed to think about the ethical issues of extensions. After reading a news article on it, sent to me by Lucy (thank you!), I am not going to bother spending money on them. My hair isn't that bad, and all I need to do is be patient and let it grow.

I have been left for two days by the boy, so I have lots of free time to do my dissertation- which at the moment consists of typing up 30 articles worth of notes. FUN. The first draft is due in 2 weeks, why am I not full of fear?!? I haven't written anything ugh. And sleep at the moment is not exactly happening, I don't seem to be able to sleep well on my own, mainly due to an over active imagination and watching every single episode of My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding hahaa! Its amazing.
Also signed up for last.fm today, which is nice to have on when you're typing, and also a great way to listen to new music, which I haven't done for ages. SO, in an attempt to discover new stuff I am going to post up a tune a week, they might be old favorites or completely new ones that last.fm and youtube throw up.

Today's one is from Fleet Foxes, which I found by accident on youtube. Beautiful. Enjoy:

Decisions...

I have a very vain dilemma, which to a lot of people won't seem important, but anyway I thought that I'd share it. I am not very happy with my hair at the moment, going back to jet black was a good decision as it makes it look more healthy and I can gradually let it fade and give my hair a break from all the colouring. But...it's not great, I swear it's thinner and refuses to grow, which means its stuck in the same style every single day. BORING. I would love to put it up, braid it, tie a scarf into it, but no- its not having it and it refuses to budge past my shoulders. Thanks hair - Not. Anyway, I have been thinking about clip in extensions for a while, watching Snog marry avoid has totally put me off glue-in ones, I do not want bald patches thank you very much. But I don't know, should I?? If I get them, then it will be from this site: Foxy Locks

They seem to be better than most out there- anyone had any experience with them? The minimal amount is 120g, and from watching many reviews, that may even be too much, but I guess its better to have more than you need than less. They retail at £56.00, plus shipping, so not cheap, but then I'm sure there are more expensive ones out there. I have been doing my research and this company seem to be the best around at the moment, they do really good Youtube tutorials too. Definitely worth checking out if you're thinking of getting extensions.

So, I need to have a good think, and also about the colour- off brown or jet black- my brown is starting to come through my black, but only under certain lights, so maybe the jet black may be a good option. ARGHHH I am SO indecisive, but I do have money at the moment, so maybe this may be the best time. I'll keep pondering!
